Irregular Choice seeks an outgoing Store Manager for our brand new Flagship Melbourne Store.
Irregular Choice is known as a fun, bright, inclusive, and quirky British footwear brand.
We are now opening our first retail store in Melbourne to kick start our expansion into the Southern hemisphere.
As an Irregular Choice Store Manager you will expertly represent the brand and its ethos. The atmosphere we create in our International stores with music, furnishings, and product all works together to create a unique and fun experience, to offer a little piece of fantasy that the customer can take away with them, and this is what we want our customers to experience when they come to our stores. We want everyone to be greeted with a smile, to be made to feel welcome and to be served by someone who is happy to do that little bit extra to help them find something that they love.
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills
- One to two years Fashion Retail Management experience
- Experience in Footwear Retail environment
- A proven history of working within a customer facing role.
- Excellent communication skills
- Appreciation of process management
- Experience of working within a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and delegate efficiently
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
The key responsibilities of the job are
- Develop and implement the customer service strategy focusing on the objectives of the business.
- Management of store team
- Analyse performance to improve process and address issues
- Follow, understand and meet store turnover targets.
- Deliver daily sales and takings reports and update management
- Investigate issues and update management
- Develop new processes that improve customer experience
- Manage and support the team
- Stock reporting
The store manager has overall responsibility for maintaining and improving a positive and fun store environment, and to support the staff working at the store. The store manager should offer guidance, experience, and ongoing training so that the staff and assistant manager are empowered to run their stores within the guidelines of the business. This is a full time role and includes regular weekend hours.
