About the role
An exciting opportunity now exists within the Marketing team for a Category Manager. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing the performance of categories in store to grow sales, gross profit and volumes.
Duties & Responsibilities

Working across a team to identify and bring new products to market

Developing, implementing and managing category plan and influence business partners to incorporate activities into ongoing business initiatives.

Negotiate trading terms, promotions, discounts and rebates with suppliers.

Developing Promotional Program to meet franchisees needs to grow sales and margins.

Developing category plan to meet consumer and franchisee requirements.

Engaging, influencing and involving internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of category plans.
- Conducting regular range reviews to optimise product performance in store
Skills & Experience
- A marketing or business related degree is required.
- Previous experience in retail buying and/or category management within a comparable retail environment.
- Proven success in growing business through Category Management.
- Proven ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
