We have an exciting opportunity for a new Operations Manager (VIC) to join our rapidly growing, ASX 200 listed company with 130 Centres located across Australia and New Zealand - and expanding!
The Opportunity
This key senior management position will require a passionate and motivated individual to assist in leading our diverse Victoria team. Reporting to the State Manager (VIC), you will be responsible for the practical implementation of all admin, compliance and detailed operational business practices, as well as the financial performance of each self-storage centre within your designated area.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the State Manager in driving all operations to lead the team to success
- Assist the State Manager in ensuring achievement of financial budgets, sales growth and profitability of all centres in Victoria
- Oversee and assist with recruitment, establishing and developing new staff and improving service levels
- Assist the State Manager to ensure achievement of Management of the financials - P&L, annual business plan and budgeted targets
- Work with the State Manager to drive operational execution of customer retention and assist with effective strategies and promotional campaigns
- In conjunction with the State Manager, lead, motivate and performance manage an effective team to achieve sales targets, customer service levels and business objectives
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to Management on the state's activities and performance
- Ensure all centres are compliant with WH&S regulations and requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bright, positive attitude and friendly, outgoing personality
- Proven experience in a multi-site management role
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a solid focus on team culture
- Previous experience coaching and developing sales staff, with a good understanding of best practice performance management
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of organisational skills with the ability to self-manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to think analytically and develop effective strategies

Please note, as this is a shared responsibility and support role to the VIC State Manager, the salary range on offer is between $80,000 - $95,000 (inclusive of superannuation and travel allowance) per annum pending skills and experience.
