Client Details
This reputable business supplies a comprehensive range of products to the timber flooring industry from adhesives and abrasives to power tools and machinery. They basically meet the needs of anyone in the trade. They are recognised for offering professional personalised service and most of all expert advice on their products. An outstanding opportunity is now available for a proactive and committed individual to join their existing, long-standing team in Richmond.
The position
Your tasks will include, but not be limited to the following;
- First point of contact for customers
- Face to face sales and phone sales
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Developing key relationships with existing customers
- Developing new sales opportunities with new contacts
- Receiving and unpacking of goods
- Managing displays and maintaining shelves
- General cleanliness
- Follow up calls to prospective new customers from an existing database
- Maintaining existing clients and developing new business opportunities by spending a day on the road visiting clients on a weekly basis
The Person
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar position, experience in the timber flooring industry is however not essential
- Previous experience working with the likes of Bunnings, Masters, Burson’s, automotive retail or industrial hardware or similar, will be looked upon favourably. Willing to train the right candidate who would like to succeed and build a career
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality
- Outstanding customer service with a high level of attention to detail
- Willing to learn and picks things up easily
- Is reliable and punctual with a positive can-do attitude
