Your Responsibilities

As our Head of Operations, you will be fully accountable for drawing compelling results and scalable solutions from all of our supply chain, customer service, and warehouse functions.

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will assume responsibility and ongoing management of the company’s supply chain from importing goods into our warehouse and coordinating a network of 300 drop shipping suppliers and multiple couriers to managing customer service
  • Manage operations P&L to achieve business objectives
  • Manage logistics, customer service and warehouse teams (working between our HQ and the warehouse)
  • Review existing contracts with third parties and assess opportunities with new partners to continually optimise the company’s operations
  • Devise, implement and monitor strategies, in conjunction with cross-functional teams to produce scalable, lean and cost effective operations processes
  • Coordinate workloads to ensure that all teams within operations are able to deliver upon expected workloads within strict time periods, and within fixed budgets
  • Closely work with the engineering team to guarantee operations and processes are running smoothly, and to define new product requirements and coordinate their implementation
  • Oversee payment related matters including liaising with payment providers and coordinating the fraud prevention process

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, economics or finance from a top university
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an ecommerce operations management role
  • Financial modelling and analysis in order to understand and monitor critical business measures
  • Ability to think on a broad scale, across many systems, processes, requirements, and timelines, in order to understand and bring about tangible results from high level objectives
  • Strong business acumen and exemplary organisational skills: ability to break down business strategies into effective actions
  • Strong leadership skills to lead operational teams to achieve continuous improvement projects
  • Strong business negotiation skills and interpersonal influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: including the ability to communicate with different levels of the organisation
  • Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to be flexible & adaptive: to quickly switch from working on different projects to providing immediate solutions if critical issues occur
  • Innovative problem solver with a high level of abstract reasoning
  • Advanced command of MS Excel, VBA, and SQL
  • Practical understanding of ERP components
  • Practical understanding of WHS
