We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager - Intimates & Footwear to join our Merchandise Team based in our Store Support Office in North Geelong. Later this year we will be moving to a brand new purpose built facility in Williams Landing in Melbourne with flexible support in the interim to work between Geelong and Melbourne hot desk offices.
About our Role
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role is responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders to lead the Planning team to develop strategies and processes to drive sales and profitability, in line with Target’s values.
Other key responsibilities may include:
- Lead the Planning teams across the Business Group to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish the appropriate balance of fashion, basics and quality
- Own and lead financial performance to agreed KPI’s across the department
- Take decisions and make recommendations to maximise sales, margin and inventory productivity of the Business Group
- Partner with Inventory and Demand Planning to use optimum inventory flow methods and ‘channels’ as well as store / quantity distributions including weekly forecast reviews
- Lead a consistent approach in processes and develop the team to adapt to and adopt new systems, processes and disciplines
- Lead the Planning Teams to ensure critical path and launch dates are being met
- Lead the Target vision, strategy and values within the team and across the organisation
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in finance, operations or business discipline with strong working experience in Planning within a high volume retail environment. Demonstrated ability to complete accurate product plans, replans, prepare financial budgets and department performance analysis is essential as is ability to optimise in-stock and working capital position through sales forecasting, stock flow and product planning expertise with good experience in leading teams and ability to plan, implement and lead a merchandise strategy.
