Our client is a highly successful retailer that has experienced year on year growth and continues share the success with its talented team.

They are seeking Buyers with experience in categories such as stationery, health & beauty, travel accessories and /or technology. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with strong analytical and forecasting skills.  You will be driving growth and have the ability to work autonomously within a great team culture. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Buying merchandise at prices that maximise gross profit and achieve profit budgets
• Source and develop supplier relationships, ensuring the organisation has the right merchandise at the right price and at the right time 
• Establish marketing trends 
• Develop a range of products to ensure they compliment the overall company buying strategy
• Analysis of historical statistical data by reviewing sales, profit, stock-turn etc
• Conduct weekly/monthly analysis of sales, margins, stock levels and markdowns and revaluate merchandise plan accordingly

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Buying experience, ideally 2-5 years +
• Experience in above categories will be highly regarded
• Degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline 
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills
• The ability to work autonomously 
• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
