We are currently on the lookout for a Merchandise Planner to join our team, reporting to the Planning Manager, based at our Store Support Centre in Kensington, Melbourne.

Our Customer
- Maintain relationships with external suppliers and overseas office
- In conjunction with the Buyer, ensure all advertised lines are in sufficient quantity for promotions and conduct post promotional activity analysis
- Ensure intake into DC's is managed to priorities, agreed parameters and timings.
- Determine the appropriate assortment by store grade in conjunction with the Buyer and Store Operations
Our Team
- Strong stakeholder management
- Work with the Demand Planning & Allocations teams to ensure the optimal store in stock position
- Work closely with the Buyer to develop the Assortment Plans by department
Our Performance
- Minimise margin erosion via effective reporting of markdowns, shrink and waste
- Review sales and stock continuously in the Buyplan, adjusting quantity and timing of purchases to reflect current trends and planned stock positions
- Construction and management of the overall Merchandise Plan for your departments
- Evaluate Plans based on pre-determined space allocation at stores, optimal stock levels and distribution profiles
- Highly-motivated and results driven Team Member
Qualifications, Key Skills and Attributes:.
- Extensive experience in merchandise planning in a large scale business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Financial management skills
- Highly analytical
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in working with planning software
