The role
We are currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis. This role works a total of 3 days per week, working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
The successful applicant will be responsible for setting and maintaining brand merchandising standards, maintaining brand visual merchandising within brand guidelines, locating and ensuring reserve stock is on display or in back up location and maintaining excellent relationships with retailers. You will need to ensure that in store merchandising is of a high standard at all times in conjunction with the VM team. Some travel is part of this role, depending on geography and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Call on existing customers according to a set call cycle
- Merchandise product displays and establish service requirements
- Identify merchandising opportunities and product gaps within customers' store
- Identify new selling opportunities for the brand outside of existing distribution
- Develop strong business relationships with retailers
- Liaise between retailers and Head Office Logistics / Sales Support and Customer Service departments
- Train store staff in new products and merchandising with a combination of demonstrations and presentations
- Weekly reporting
Skills and experience
- Proven Visual Merchandising experience
- Excellent Time management skills
- Previous wholesale sales experience desirable
- Strong Communication
- Relationship building
- Training skills
- Computer literate (MS Office: Excel Intermediate; Word, email and Internet)
