As part of the Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety group, Blackwoods is Australia’s leading supplier of industrial and safety products. We believe in providing outstanding service to our customers through outstanding people and right now we're seeking a Trade Store Officer to join our Port Hedland team.

As an integral part of the team you will play a key part in maximising Customer Service levels within the branch you will:

• Act as first point of call for all front counter based sales enquiries
• Building great relationships with our customers face to face and over the phone
• Processing customer orders as well as credits
• Problem solving and complaint resolution
• Participate and take ownership of store replenishment exercises
• Reconciliation of daily cash, EFTPOS and cheque transactions for banking
• General housekeeping duties for the shop front including putting away stock

This role would be suited to an individual with proven Trade Counter and/or customer service experience within a hardware store or retail industry.  You will be a proactive team member with a positive attitude and a highly motivated work ethic. You will also be well presented with excellent communication skills. Experience with or an understanding of the industrial product market would be highly valued, however it will be your “can-do” enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn that will see you shine.

Please note that due to our strict Health and Safety policy we will require you to undertake a physical medical evaluation, along with a drug and alcohol screening test.
