CAMILLA is on a mission to colour the world and we are looking for a talented Junior Buyer to join our tribe!

It’s been a wild and colourful ride! Today Camilla is a $75 million business with 19 Retail Boutiques across Australia, we have a multimillion-dollar online store and over 564 luxury wholesale accounts across the globe….and we’re not done yet.

There is an exciting new role to join our Tribe in our buying team as a Junior buyer. The Junior Buyer will report into the Buying Manager in our Knits, Swimwear, Activewear and Kids Design tribe.

Role Mission: . to ensure a balanced an innovative collection, focused on commercial prints/options, wardrobing options, balanced price architecture and channel specific opportunities.

How will you colour the world as our Junior Buyer…

• Confirm all order details with Buying Manager, Suppliers and ensure the process is complete, accurate and on time
• Oversee amendment of any order and ensure approval and pre-authorisation occur
• Develop market appropriate range plans in conjunction with Merchandise Planner and Buying Manager
• Negotiate price delivery and business terms to support business objectives
• Ensure estimate price and first price per style match to the range plan, target retail prices and margin requirements
• Update the appropriate channels and buy plan on pricing, deliveries and any product changes
• Display an in-depth, customer focused knowledge of the Camilla market and trends, utilizing this to inform the collection and proposed retail price points
• Regular visits to stores and competitor stores and share knowledge on findings
• Liaise with Suppliers on Critical Path follow through and start preliminary cost negotiating where instructed by the Manager
• Use Critical Path to cross check each key date in the supply process is met by Design, Textile/Graphics, Garment Technologists, Supplier and Supply Chain
• Work with Buying Manager to develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost price, delivery and terms to support the business
• Help maintain quality control, working with Garment Technicians to ensure the suppliers adhere to Camilla procedures and standards
• Match sample to design specification, working closely with Garment Technicians and Design, report and follow through with any amendments with the suppliers

• Excellent communication skills – able to communicate with offshore suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Highly organised and able to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of fabric/yarns, components, construction and manufacturing of apparel, swimwear and accessories
• Knowledge of specs and grading
• Excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role as an Assistant Buyer with some experience as a Junior Buyer
