This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person to join a dedicated team as a Practice Co-ordinator in modern and progressive independent optometry practices. This is an ideal opportunity to utilise your customer service, retail sales and interpersonal skills to provide top class service and assistance that will delight our practice patients.

In our optometry practices, you will have an opportunity to work closely with the customers, assist them with their frame selections, general administration and other receptionist tasks as required. You will bring your face-to-face retail experience, excellent communication skills, customer service and team focus to our optometry practices.

The successful person will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Be willing and available to greet patients and visitors in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attend to their needs
  • Enjoy delivering exceptional patient service over the phone and face-to-face that will delight them and promote loyalty.
  • Have exceptional customer service/ retail experience
  • Have the ability to guide and recommend a customer in their choice of eyewear, promoting fashion brands and quality optical lenses, explaining and offering product options and add-ons (with training).
  • Keep up to date with product and fashion knowledge (frames, sunglasses, contact lenses and accessories).
  • Order customised optical products and follow up on all aspects of customer product supply and service (with training).
  • Use our practice management software to coordinate appointment bookings, quotes, orders and follow up tasks.
  • Support the Optometrist to provide excellent clinical care by assisting them with patient management tasks (with training).
  • Able to work on Saturday mornings.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to travel between multiple work locations.
  • Have the ability to maintain tidy practice environment and assist with enhancing the overall patient/ customer experience.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar role. Optical experience is desirable but not necessary as training will be provided to the successful applicant.
