A great opportunity exists in Perth for a Manager at our Dispatch Centre in Osbourne Park.
 
We need a dedicated person to lead our team in pursuing targets and meeting deadlines.
You will lead by example in this hands-on role. Time management skills are a key in co-ordinating staff to efficiently process orders placed via our website to be dispatched on time. All this while being an active part of the team - completing anything from packing an order to dealing with customer complaints. You may be strapping boxes to go off with Aus Post one minute and then picking orders and answering a call the next.

My Pet Warehouse is a family owned business providing a comprehensive range of pet supplies with shop fronts in NSW, VIC, WA & QLD and also servicing Australia wide via our online store. 

Unlike some of our competitors, we have made a conscious and ethical decision not to sell pets of any kind in our stores. We thoroughly support pet adoption through registered breeders or authorised shelters with a no-kill policy. Comparatively, these are far better alternatives to purchasing animals through pet stores. My Pet Warehouse also donates to local pet rescue organisations through direct donations on a monthly basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Processing of orders; Receiving, picking, packing and dispatch
  • Consistent high level of customer service
  • Ensuring all orders are dispatched in timely manner
  • Liaising with management and other departments
  • Achieving weekly sales targets
  • Effective rostering within budget
  • Handling customer queries via phone and email
  • Keeping work area is clean and safe
  • Paperwork completion and accuracy 
  • Managing a team of up to 6 people, including staff hiring and training

 
 
Skills and Qualifications:
 
  • Knowledge of Aus Post eParcel system is favourable
  • Customer focused and results driven
  • Budgeting and expense tracking
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Initiative and forward planning
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and pro-active attitude
  • Client relationship building skills
  • Proven success in management
  • Excellent understanding of retail
 
Please note, this role will involve some physical exertion so the successful applicant must be prepared to be on their feet for extended periods of time.
