An exciting opportunity currently exists to work as part of our Le Pine Funerals team located in Oakleigh as a Location Manager.

Le Pine Funerals has been offering families in our local communities a quality service with individual care and attention for over 125 years. We have locations all across metropolitan Melbourne and belong to a wider network of funeral homes across Australia.

Actively engaged in the community, the Location Manager will have a strong business development focus, be results orientated and ensure the provision of quality service to our client/families, embracing and advocating the company culture and brand standards.  The Location Manager ensures that a friendly and positive working environment is maintained where business outcomes, customer service, and staff capability and cooperation are the focus.

The role is accountable for the delivery of services to the client and for the development of the immediate team and related internal/external relationships. You will strive to develop our reputable funeral brand in the local community and build a strong community connection/rapport.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Capacity to develop, and lead and inspire your staff by creating a workplace where people feel valued, challenged and proud to be part of the Le Pine Funeral team. 
  • Ability to manage branch operations in finances, marketing, human resources, assets and facilities, within an extremely high volume location.
  • A strong understanding of achieving profit objectives while delivering on outstanding customer service levels.
  • Sensitivity to circumstances involving grieving people, their values and beliefs as well as the capacity to be at ease with death and the expression of grief.
  • An ability to be customer focused and to communicate and respond effectively to all levels of the public.
  • Empathy in order to interpret the needs of people and clearly communicate options to clients
  • Competent administrative and computing skills and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills  
  • Flexibility in approach, demonstrating self-awareness and emotional maturity
  • Unrestricted Driver’s license
  • Flexibility to participate in after hour duties, including occasional weekend arranging.
