This position is based at our Canning Vale site.
About the role
You will be looking after Dry Grocery and Dairy category for the WA State. You will develop, negotiate and implement state sales activities and business plans with state based suppliers for defined categories. This role is responsible for the delivery of a program that achieves state sales, both warehouse and retail in line with budgeted income objectives.
What you’ll be doing
- Review existing ranges & new product development and negotiate ranging of products with local Suppliers
- Negotiate trading terms with local suppliers which supports the business & category financial objectives
- Manage strata at a state level
- Work with the State & National Promotions teams to tailor the local promotional program and marketing material ensuring all Promotional processes and timelines are met
- Review & provide SUPA IGA Retail catalogue promotional estimates to support forecasts, stock replenishment & execution of the weekly promotional plan
- Support any state specific activity including trade shows, village trade fairs or store improvement programs by negotiating with both local & national Suppliers
- Support stock replenishment by managing local suppliers to achieve service level targets & resolve inbound & outbound service level issues whilst executing aged stock clearance programs with local suppliers to support inventory targets within the local DC
- Interpret data, provide reports & remain up-to-date with market performance, category data, pricing & promotional activity to recommend opportunities for additional sales, competitiveness & to localise needs for Retailers & Shoppers
