ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Allocator your responsibilities will include:
- Manage stocktake calendar and backend reporting on all stocktakes.
- Ensure cycle counts are regularly conducted on fast moving lines.
- Work with field sales teams to ensure all inventory policies and controls are enforced
- Assist in reconciliation of stock levels between systems.
- Execute quality related inventory actions as required.
- Manage display items instore to ensure minimum write offs and shrinkage.
- Managing the allocation of merchandise to stores - making sure the right stock is in the right store at the right time!
- Analysing sales and stock in order to allocate stock commercially; driving maximum sales and understanding the unique requirements of every store
- Carefully track store performance, proposing changes to product mixes etc. as required
- Provide Head of Buying with regular reports
- Visiting stores during key trading times and assessing performance/altering allocations accordingly
- Preparing weekly merchandise reports, assessing performance at both store and company level
- Working closely with Planners on post-season analysis
- Regularly conducting ad-hoc analysis, questioning best practice and constantly striving to improve performance
- Thinking strategically about commercial outcomes and performance, suggesting improvements and driving increased sales
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Planning or allocating experience within the fashion industry
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Sharp as a knife
- Fast learner able to learn how to use our systems quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communications skills both on the phone and in person
- Very organised and detail oriented
- Oodles of common sense
