We are looking for energetic individuals with a keen interest in health and wholefoods, to work and at times lead our markets team at our market stalls, with responsibility for our markets preparation, merchandising and customer service. Honesty and reliability are essential and retail experience is a definite asset. You will need to be friendly, self-motivated and great with people. This role is physical and involves some heavy lifting and the ability to start early and be on your feet most of the day!

To be successful in this position you need to be willing and able to work on some Saturdays at the Leichhardt Orange Grove Markets and Sundays at the Frenches Forest Markets, with the ability to work some Fridays and Mondays at our retail store in Alexandria. 

Your main duties will include;

* Leading and managing the markets team and to be part of it when not taking on the Manager duties for the day;

* Market stall set up and take down;

* Customer service and sales;

* Cash handling and management;

* Manage, maintain and improve stall merchandise, displays, price tags and hardware;

* Co-ordinate interaction with customers;

* Monitor quality control;

* Manage stock control;

* Establish, maintain and develop knowledge on the organic food industry;

* A driver’s licence is essential - if you take on a Manager shift you will need to drive the van to and from the Markets!!
