Absafe Specialist Equipment is seeking a Technically Skilled Retail Manager to work in the Safety and Specialised Access Equipment Industry in our Collingwood showroom.
Permanent position negotiable 38-40 hours a week, no weekend work!
Absafe Specialist Equipment is located in Collingwood and we are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our sales team.
The absafe brand has grown to be widely recognised across Victoria and interstate as a leading supplier of specialised personal protective equipment. Our core business is the supply of quality height safety, rescue, confined space and rope access equipment as well as an extensive range of equipment accessories from leading global brands.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety and will be dealing directly with customers who visit our Collingwood showroom.
Technical Showroom/Retail Manager
You will be our primary customer contact, across all sales channels (in-store, phone and live chat). You will need to provide our customers with exemplary levels of customer service and technical advice on the equipment we sell.
The daily tasks would include but not be limited to:
- Serving customers
- Sales oriented – upsell and cross-sell
- Cleaning & Merchandising Store/Stock
- Operate Point-of-Sale System
- Answer phone enquiries
- Answer live-chat enquiries
To be considered, you will have the following skills and traits:
- You have experience working with or selling:
- Rope Access Equipment, and/or
- Confined Space Equipment, and/or
- Height Safety Equipment
- Personal Protective Equipment
- A strong Customer Service Focus
- A solid background in retail sales experience, and a sound understanding of modern retailing practices including merchandising standards is preferred
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong communication skills between all stakeholders
- A dedicated work ethic, with an ability to work well in a team but autonomously in the shop as required
- An eye for detail and accuracy
