Job tasks and responsibilities

Here at Best and Less our Allocators play an important role in delivering the shopping experience to our customers. The Allocator is responsible for ensuring our ranges in store are available to satisfy customer demand.

Through providing analysis on stock positions and helping shape inventory strategy, the Allocator role is a great platform to begin your career in Retail Planning.

Reporting to the Planning Manager your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Allocate stock to stores to ensure the right stores get the rights products at the right time and in the right quantities.
• Analysis of stock and sales.
• Create stock replenishment plans for our stores.
• Track our stock deliveries from our supply base across the world through to our distribution network in Australia. 
• Performing store visits to investigate stock opportunities and risks.
• Formulate stock strategies to drive the performance of the Womenswear department.
• Assist the Merchandise Planner with analysis and key learnings for the season that will shape next year's product and stock strategies.
