MacLeod's Furniture Court and Beds R Us Coffs Harbour  are two stores located at Homebase Centre. We pride ourselves on delivering professional, friendly, down to earth service.

We offer our customers a large and diverse range of well-priced, quality furniture, bedding and decorator items. 

Our businesses are growing and we are looking to recruit up to two professional sales assistants to join our close-knit team.

The role includes, but is not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:

Trading floor and showroom
o Sales and customer service
o Merchandising and decorating
o Purchase orders and product stock receipt
o Basic administration and computer operation
o Assembly and disassembly of furniture
o Cleaning and housekeeping


Warehouse, stockroom and deliveries
o Unloading and receipt of stock
o Picking, packing and dispatch of stock
o Assist with home deliveries / furniture installations / stock transfers

Essential selection criteria
- friendly and reliable
- a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- an unrestricted, class C, manual drivers' licence
- experience in a customer service / sales role
- ability to thrive in a busy work environment
- team oriented but still able to work independently
- have well developed communication and problem solving skills
- be physically fit, willing and able to receive and handle bulky stock, assemble and disassemble furniture on a daily basis
- be available to work up to 38 hours each week including weekend shifts
- a passion for exceptional customer service and building great relationships within the local community
- basic administration skills including computer operations
- knowledge of and ability to implement and follow safe work practices


Desirable selection criteria
- previous experience in retail or bulky goods sales

This role will initially be offered as a casual contract. The successful applicant can expect to be trained in all areas of our business; from stock receipt and dispatch, to administration, sales, ordering and merchandising.
