Area Manager - Gloria Jean's Coffees

The Opportunity  

We are seeking an Area Manager with retail and food operations experience to join our Field Operations Team within our Gloria Jean’s Coffee brand. Working closely with our Franchise Partners, you will be responsible for ensuring operational standards and excellence is maintained within the Division and educating Franchise Partners (FP’s) on operations management best practice.

A key component of your role is to define and drive the execution of long and short term targets in line with Retail Food Group (RFG) and individual Brand strategies. To do this, you will build strong Franchise Partner relationships and provide effective coaching to identify business improvement opportunities and solutions within RFG.

 You will be involved in

• Identify and provide solutions for individual Franchise Partners to meet brand standards 
• Drive operations consistency to ensure all requests are in line with RFG policies and procedures
• Analyse P&L performance to identify opportunities for FP’s to improve business outcomes
• Assist FP’s to achieve sales growth targets in line with set budgets.
• Liaise with relevant Brands across RFG to provide assistance to Franchise Partners, ensuring compliance with Brands standards
• Provide ongoing training to Franchise Partners in regards to minimum standards, compliance, equipment use, customer service etc.
• Review all store training manuals regularly to ensure relevancy and update documents as needed
• Conduct general store visits and generate reports
• Ensure regular communication with Franchise Partners and document all minutes after each store visit 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate IV Business or Training & Assessment or Certificate III in Retail Operations or Hospitality is beneficial
• Current valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Able to work autonomously, with great time management skills
• Experience in a similar position desirable
• Small business/franchising experience
• Strong networking skills
• Advanced Microsoft Suite capabilities
• Actively and positively engaged in team work
