Supermarket Delicatessen Manager

The Role

Spanos Group are currently looking for a highly motivated, passionate retail leader to for a Deli Manager role at Spanos Supa IGA Gatton. You will be responsible for the overall performance and operations of the department, ensuring that maximum sales, profit and customer satisfaction are achieved. Your leadership skills will be continuously utilised as you perform your role in this physical and hands-on environment. Your roster will be a rotational roster which will include weekends and public holidays.

Essential Criteria
1. High level of personal integrity and accountability for performance
2. Demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service
3. Previous management experience and skills
a. Ability to lead and manage a team (previous management experience of a small-medium- sized team essential, including rostering)
b. Experience with successful conflict management within a workplace
c. Can demonstrate ability to follow company policies and procedures (Inc. disciplinary action)
d. Experience in training and coaching staff in various work areas and topics
4. Demonstrate significant expertise and understanding of merchandising techniques
5. Demonstrate a strong understanding of how to monitor and control shrinkage
6. Significant experience in stock rotation and stock management (including ordering & returns)
7. Strong understanding of OH&S and food safety requirements and regulations
8. Able to communicate clearly and negotiate with people from different backgrounds and roles (such as suppliers, customers, staff, external entities)
9. Good level of computer skills
10. Very good literacy and numeracy skills (for example: ability to interpret.

Preferred Criteria
1. Retail industry experience preferred

2. Previous deli manager experience preferred
