The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced an Shop Assistant to join our team in Moree. The purpose of this role is to perform a range of tasks that support the operations of the family store including: furniture pick-ups and deliveries, general maintenance, mowing, rubbish removal and operating the TIL when required.

Duties include assisting delivery services, driving and vehicle maintenance and general store maintenance. Please see the Position Description attached for more information about the role.

What we are seeking from you?

• An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
• Minimum P2 Driver’s Licence, capable of driving manual and willing to attain LR licence.
• Knowledge and operation of retail technology is desirable
• Proven experience in the recycling and transport industry a desirable
• WHS – knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation.
• Professional development required to maintain skills for the role.
