The Position

We're on the hunt for a Procurement Specialist to be based in Melbourne, reporting directly to the General Manager - Procurement. The main purpose of the role is the tactical execution of a number of procurement functions including tender & contract development and project implementation across all Steinhoff ANZ brands.

To be successful, you will be focused on achieving goals, a champion at change initiatives and have the ability to build rapport quickly with stakeholders.

You'll also have:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role ideally with experience in retail or FMCG
  • the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups across diverse geographical boundaries
  • a hunger for learning & a thirst for knowledge
  • good commercial acumen
  • strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • proven proactive problem management skills
  • an engaging communication style, including written communication via Word & PowerPoint
  • the ability to work under pressure 
  • the ability to manage your own workload & changing priorities, and to recognise when help is required
  • a passionate, enthusiastic, "can do", customer service-driven attitude!
  • relevant qualifications in Business, Accounting or Engineering
  • CIPSA (or other equivalent) procurement accreditation would be advantageous
  • Some interstate travel may be required in the course of the role

    In this role you will be responsible for:

  • tender development including defining project complexities, risk assessments, requirements documents, evaluation models & supplier pre-release communications
  • bid evaluation including reviewing results with stakeholders
  • category benchmarking & category management plans
  • contract drafting, development & finalisation
  • managing project approvals including recommendation summaries & approvals; and
  • project implementation & new supplier on-boarding
