3IC (3rd in Charge)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a sales superstar to join our team at Baby Bunting as a full time third in charge (3IC). If you are a self-motivated and dedicated retailer that wants to develop your management skills in a fun and growing retail business, then this role might be the perfect next step.

The Position overview

The 3IC (Assistant manager in training) role is full time, comprising four weekdays (including late night trade) and one day on the weekend. You will be involved in every aspect of a fast paced retail environment as you work alongside the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, learning and developing your retail management skills and sharing in the responsibility of the day to day running of the store. This physically demanding and hands on role will see you on your feet everyday on the shop floor creating a strong team atmosphere in a large format retail environment.                   

What the role entails

• Passion for customer service, especially a unique service delivered to new and expectant parents and their families
• Be part of the Store Management Team that will ensure efficient operation of the store and the achievement of key financial targets
• Assisting the Store Management Team in the overseeing of a Team
• Play a big part in ensuring store standards are met and constantly improving our retail offer to our customers
• Responsible for merchandise displays and setting up the store for our catalogue and promotions
• The ability to create a safety culture and align all Team Members to our safety standards everyday
• Role modelling Baby Buntings vision and values and instilling them in your team

Skills and Experience

• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
• Proven ability to achieve and exceed productivity targets and KPI's
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong selling skills and a great sales attitude with a customer service-oriented disposition
• A high level of energy and enthusiasm
• Have a positive attitude towards learning
• Have excellent time management and organizational skills
• Inspire, motivate and develop a professional sales team to exceed sales targets
• Previous management experience in a retail environment 
• Have a proven track record of sound people management
• You will be hard working, have an extremely high attention to detail and enjoy being hands-on
