Full-Time Sales Assistant
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate, experienced and highly motivated Full Timer to take on the challenge of assisting the managing our Canberra/Belconnen store. This position is responsible for the development, management and overseeing the store to ensure standards are upheld and practices are conducted in line with Company objectives. You will contribute to the achievement of the stores results by maximising the sales and profit through effective management of people, stock and controllable expenses.
This position will include late night trading, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holiday. There is an opportunity for this role to be Permanent Part Time, minimum 30 hours.
Duties:
- Manage a small team
- Develop, manage and oversee store operations
- Maximise sales and profit for the store
- Meet set KPIs and Company objectives
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a Assistant Management or supervisorial role
- Ability to lead from the front
- Passion for growing our people, by having the ability to motivate others
- Ability to work autonomously
- In depth understanding of the retail market
- Outstanding organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask at a fast pace
- Exceptional communication skills
- A professional and courteous demeanour
- A can do attitude and a willingness to pitch-in.
