The Role
Reporting to the Head of Retail, the Senior Area Manager will oversee 10-15 stores, covering Hornsby up to Tweed Heads. This is a fast-paced role that requires dedication and determination to achieve success, this role is all about people engagement and skill development.
Your days will be spent in stores with your teams ensuring their sites are performing to their peak and focusing in on areas for development. No two days will be the same and in the highly autonomous role you will be responsible for the success of your region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 10 to 15 stores across Central Coast, Newcastle and Northern NSW
- Ensure store teams are trained to deliver excellent customer service
- Drive and motivate team to achieve sales targets
- Coach and develop team to achieve their goals
- Effectively recruit and train new team members
- Merchandise stores in line with brand guidelines
- Ensure MyHouse store shrinkage rate target achieved
- Communicate effectively with all stores on a daily basis
- Company values are adhered to and visibly
- Analysis of store performance and benchmarking of stores
Experience Required:
- Multi site experience essential
- Experience in a retail environment, ideally homewares or apparel
- Own car and clean driver's license as regular travel throughout NSW is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
