Reporting to the commercial finance manager and working collaboratively with the sales, marketing and category development teams you will provide financial analysis and commercial decision support, with responsibilities encompassing management KPI reporting, and forecasting for our corporate sales teams. In addition to this you will have month end process responsibilities.
This role is Fixed Term contract for 6 months with potential for permanency.
Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Decision Support providing competitor analysis, and periodic reviews of pricing framework as well as pre and post evaluations of promotional performance
- Channel and Category Forecasting supporting the delivery of the monthly rolling forecast and providing insights and delivery of assumptions made based upon the annual budget
- Management of month end processes, reviewing final results with accountability for the submission of accruals.
- Development of management insights on current channel and category performance
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and maintenance of audit checks and reviews
Do you have what it takes?
To set you up for success you will be decree qualified with CA/CPA qualifications and demonstrated commercial Finance experience. A sound understanding of the consumer goods industry in Australia is preferred but not essential. You will have a solid understanding of the Profit and Loss statement and possibly an understanding of trade spend. The ability to influence senior business partners with strong time management and problem solving skills are essential. You will also have effective written and oral communications skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
