About the Opportunity at HPM

Working as a respected Retail team member and reporting to the Retail State Manager NSW/ACT, the Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for being the primary contact assisting with all Merchandising solutions and upgrade/maintenance of displays for the state covering primarily Bunnings and other customers as determined with the State Manager. The key elements of this role include the coordination and management of new store set ups and refits, the update and maintenance of product display boards and merchandise materials, and work to improve the sales out at Bunnings by ensuring high standards and store presentation

This role will report to the Retail State Manager NSW/ACT, with duties that include:

  • Contribute to Improvements in sales performance and range distribution whilst maintaining inventory value targets in specified stores.
  • Set up display boards for new Bunnings stores and complete Refits
  • Maintain relationships with key Bunnings staff
  • Monitor compliance to agreed standard in-store
  • Provide product training as required to Bunnings team members
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as requested by State Managers
  • Complete monthly report and sign off sheets for projects

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Time management - being able to control daily / weekly and monthly activities
  • Customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Self-motivated and achievement orientated.
  • Logical and practical thinker
  • Ability to communicate and work with other Category Suppliers
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Basic computer literacy 
  • Intrastate travel is involved
  • Bunnings merchandise experience would be beneficial
  • Current Australian driver's license
