The role

This position is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the management, sales and leadership of the team of the Chadstone Swatch Store. The key to this role is to ensure a high level of customer service is provided at all times, and to motivate and train the team to meet sales budgets each month. General administration, merchandising and stock control also falls under this role.

Responsibilities

  • Set sales targets / goals / objectives
  • Motivate staff by providing training to increase their selling expertise
  • Conduct ongoing training and coaching to ensure staff's sales skills are of the highest standard
  • Develop ideas that will help the store increase sales and motivate staff
  • Direct open and close of the store
  • Communicate targets / budgets to all staff members
  • Ordering stock such as bands and batteries
  • Assist the store manager to implement systems to minimize loss through theft, fraud and error
  • Receive stock and conduct stocktake
  • Undertake reporting
  • General tidying and maintenance of the store

  • Retail sales and/or assistant management experience
  • Ability to lead and motivate people
  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Sound administrative skills
  • Training skills
  • Inventory management
