We are a group of young professionals, and we have just taken over Acland Court Pharmacy & Acland Street Pharmacy, located in St Kilda, Melbourne, on the famous multicultural and bustling Acland street.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced senior Pharmacy Assistant who is looking for that next step in their career into management. As the Retail Manager, you are responsible FOR providing inspirational and effective leadership to your team as you manage the sales, operations and profitability of the store. You will also be responsible for rostering of floor staff, stock control, buying, merchandising and cost control.
The successful applicant will be available to commence immediately on a Full Time basis, is team-oriented, customer-focused with a well-organized approach towards achieving and maintaining high merchandising standards which translate into retail sales.
With support from our Head Office you will develop and sustain a strong bond with your team enabling them to maintain customer relationships, whilst identifying opportunities for further growth.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCEs
- Previous experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment - essential
- Experience with budgets and KPI's
- A clear understanding of staff rostering requirements
- Experience managing staff performance
- Ability to promote the Pharmacy as a centre for advice, assistance and information in areas of health and well-being
- Ability to assist in any area of the pharmacy including orders, counter service, telephone service, dispensary and store merchandising
- Willingness to undertake continual training development opportunities
Our ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Previous experience working as Pharmacy Assistant is preferred
- Certificate III in Community Pharmacy - highly regarded
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Experience working with and achieving budgets and KPI's
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide leadership as required
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including operating POS system
- A desire to continually grow and develop your career within retail pharmacy
- A passion for retail, particularly beauty, health and wellbeing
- Availability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster, including evenings until 9pm
