About the role

Utilising your exceptional customer service skills, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and coordination of two high performing retail stores, Garbutt and Deeragun.

Providing valuable support and instruction to staff and volunteers, you will be responsible for managing budgets, depot and logistics operations, meeting sales target and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and regulations. Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, put your merchandising skills to the test while coordinating stock control and store presentation.

Engaging and training volunteers is an important and rewarding aspect of the role as Vinnies provides a great opportunity for volunteering across Queensland. 

You will plan ahead to split your time evenly between the two locations.  Preparedness to be rostered to work Monday to Saturday as required.

Position Objectives

  • Relevant Tertiary or TAFE qualifications or equivalent in retail operations
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, control and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a Retail and Depot centre
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of stock control and inventory management, including rotation
  • An understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the supervision of staff/volunteers
  • Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to identify constraints and provide constructive solutions
  • An ability to develop and implement a Multi Centre visitation call plan
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility to provide relief management support to centers within the region if required
  • Current Queensland Driver's License and a National Criminal History Check

The successful candidate will be required to satisfactorily complete pre-employment checks which will include a National Criminal History Records Check.
