About the role
A new and emerging brand in Outdoor Furniture, we have 3 locations spanning across Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. We specialise in the sale of outdoor furniture including domestic and commercial products as well as a large range of home decor items. As a family owned and operated business, we believe our best asset is the people we employ.
We currently have a position available at our Aspley store for an experienced retail professional for the role of Senior Sales Person. The available position is full time and ideal for someone looking to join a company for the long term to work within and help in growing our business. The right candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years retail experience in a relevant field such as furniture and homeware sales.
This is a store management role with responsibilities including (but not limited to):-
- Overseeing the day to day running of the store
- Supervision and training of other team members
- Administration of sales Invoices, purchase orders and correspondence with customers and other departments
- General maintenance of the store including display floor layout and back room stocks
- Working with Management to improve store operation and sales performance
Key criteria for the successful applicant include:-
- Previous experience in a retail management position
- Strong leadership skills
- Sound communication skills, good telephone manner
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Able to prioritise tasks and complete to a high standard
- High proficiency in the use of computers and programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Previous experience with administration and clerical procedures
- Maturity and confidence overseeing and working within a store team
- Able to handle a high degree of autonomy but also working with and contributing to a larger team
Roster will be up to 19 days in a 28 day roster including 2-3 weekends. Rosters usually published up to 2 months in advance to allow for forward planning.
Immediate start for the successful candidate. On-the-job training provided by management staff. Ability to travel between Brisbane stores an advantage.
