About the Role
We currently have a full-time opportunity for Retail/Trade Sales Consultant in paint sales to join our Winnellie team.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to provide advice and general sales assistance to retail and trade customers in-store and over the phone. You will also promote Haymes Paints products and services to their customers.
Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Greeting customers and assisting with product selection
- Tinting paint products to customer requirements
- Building strong relationships with their trade customers in store
- Assisting with the preparation and running of trade events, and related activities in order to provide a value-added service for customers;
- Supporting the store manager with implementing actions to achieve budgeted sales and profits;
- Adhering to all safe work procedures;
- Delivering trade orders on site as required;
- Completing all transactions accurately (To be successful in this role, it is key that you are able to demonstrate retail sales skills, also relevant trade skills and/or paint knowledge will be highly regarded. You will need to have a positive attitude, the ability to assimilate new information in a timely manner and be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Most importantly, you will love working with people and engaging with customers, have a good sense of humour, and an easy-going nature.
- You will need an unencumbered driver's licence, availability to work across a 6-day roster (Monday – Saturday), and have the ability to perform manual tasks associated with this role e.g. lifting of 15 litre cans of paint, repetitive tasks associated with tinting house lots of paint etc.
