We are looking for a Liquor Manager for the Rottnest General Store, Liquor department. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brindle Group working and living on Rottnest Island which as we all know is beautiful one day, spectacular the next.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Liquor Manager to support and lead a small team in a unique and exciting environment. We want to hear from you if you are passionate about liquor and love sharing that knowledge with your customers and can commence the latter half of September 2018.

Are you a person who can operate under seasonal pressure and take control and adapt to the unique retail environment at the Island; who can identify opportunities and drive projects to completion? You must be willing to move to the Island and enjoy the fantastic lifestyle it can provide. Couples will be considered as casual work may be provided in the store or bakery for your partner.

Skills required

• Proven liquor store management or similar
• Excellent knowledge of wines, beers, spirits and the liquor industry
• Must be an “Approved Liquor Manager”
• Financial knowledge of retail margins, GP, budgets and labour management
• Highly organised, efficient with good time management skills
• A self-motivated and pro-active reliable team player
• Excellent customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

• People Management – ability to lead and motivate the team
• Store presentation – Must be physically capable of merchandising stock
• Meet budget and GP and minimise waste
• Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers
• In high season be available to work across trading hours to provide coverage
