The role

Competitive intensity, digital disruption and changing missions provide Coles with opportunities for differentiation.  As part of our Strategy & Delivery team, you’ll work on leading the transformation to deliver Coles’ new, differentiated strategy which will make life easier for customers.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation you will work across the program to ensure that projects are adequately resourced, workstreams are integrated, benefits are realised and projects are aligned to deliver our strategic vision.  You will also work  closely with the Change and Communications Manager to engage and manage stakeholders on our strategic and cultural journey.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • tertiary and post-graduate qualifications and certification in a range of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. PMI, Agile)
  • proven experience from within the FMCG/Retail environment
  • experience in complex analytical problem solving
  • high level of proficiency using appropriate analytical tools & techniques
  • strong experience in managing projects or work-streams within projects
  • experience in writing or contributing to board level presentations and reports
  • experience in presenting to senior business stakeholders
  • exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • use schedules to manage the overarching program of work with multiple complexities including external dependencies and impacts
  • ensure adequate plans are in place by Transformation Leads
  • identify and validate assumptions
  • ensure appropriate risk and issue management processes are in place across the Transformation
  • support stakeholder identification and assessment
  • drive executive reporting across the transformation ensuring consistency in approach across work streams
