About the business
History
The Canberra Hospital Auxiliary Inc. is a charitable organisation managed by volunteers. The Auxiliary Shop is the main fundraising venture of the organisation returning profits to the Canberra Hospital through the purchase of medical equipment and education funding for nurses and other associated activities.

The position is currently casual hours requiring the applicant to be flexible to work between the hours of 7.30am-7.00pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities of the Role
The Retail Shop Assistant is responsible for undertaking general duties as directed by the Shop Manager, liaising with volunteer workers, committee and assisting in the running of the shop.
Skills and experience
To meet the Selection Criteria, candidates will require:
· professional manner and high customer service focus
· effective time management skills
· competent with Microsoft Word and Excel
· ability to work independently in a team
· should be physically fit and able to lift weights of 15kls.
ACT Health and Auxiliary policies to be complied with and current Working with Vulnerable People essential.
