• Provide customer service and respond to front counter requests
• Ensure Confidentiality is maintained at all times incorporating both Post Office customers and Aurukun Shire Council business
• Assist with the processing of bulk mail and parcels in line with road and air deliveries. (Ensure detail is checked  to ensure accuracy)
• Ensure all Mail marked postage Paid Australia is weighed to determine shipping cost is over 250g.
• Ensure agency operates in accordance with Council's legislative requirements
• Process money orders and reconcile to Australia Post
• Ensure Accuracy of delivery details for Money orders and check order received within appropriate time frame
• Process COD Parcels and reconciliation to Australia Post
• Mail sorting and return in accordance with Australia Post Policy
• All Mail not marked Aurukun is forwarded on immediately.
• Mail to be held 1 month before being marked return to sender and sent on.
• Immediately report any disturbance or unacceptable behaviour to Administration Manager
• Other duties as requested by the Administration Manager
• Notify Administration manager when Post Office stationery stock is low
• Assist with Skytrans Bookings
• Accurately complete End of day cash reconciliations

Return all empty bags/packaging to Cairns weekly
