Chanel is synonymous with luxury defining style, quality and excellence worldwide. We now recruiting the services of an experienced and hard working Stock Assistant to join our famous flagship Melbourne boutique on Flinders Lane.

As a member of this highly successful and motivated team, your primary responsibility is to support the boutique management and sales team with accurate inventory management and after sales services. This role is best suited to a candidate who is proactive, motivated and who is process driven.

Your responsibilities will include;
 

  • End to end coordination of all stock requests / transfers in and out from boutiques, distribution center and Head Office Buying Office.
  • Assisting floor staff on a day to day basis with any stock issues, running stock to the floor and stock replenishment
  • Assist with stock movement reports through POS System for stock transfers in and stock transfers out between boutiques and the distribution center.
  • Unpacking all stock deliveries / transfers from other boutiques and the Distribution Center.
  • Physical stock check and sign off of stock delivery / stock transfers against manifest.
  • Reporting any stock discrepancies to the Boutique Coordinator or Manager
  • Work with the boutique team to coordinate stock rotation processes.
  • Work with management and boutique team on all stock takes and cycle count processes.
  • Keep Fashion Advisors informed as to the status of their customers’ repair items – outgoing repairs, repair status update, completed repairs, spare parts order arrival etc.

    In order to be successful, we ask that you possess the following attributes;
     
  • Demonstrated experience within a similar role preferably within the luxury or high-end fashion retail industry
  • Superior organisation skills and attention to detail with high level accuracy and efficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and previous experience in the use of point of sale systems with the ability to use these systems to run reports, manage stock etc.
  • Good oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation in line with Chanel guidelines
  • Flexibility and availability to work a casual roster from Wednesday to Sunday, including night trading and both days of the weekend.
