Our client, The Institute of Public Accountants has a great opportunity for a Professional Development Coordinator to join the team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual, with an Event Management and Professional Development background to play an active role in enhancing the reputation of the Institute and the accounting profession as a whole.

What's involved?

Reporting to the Divisional General Manager, this role focuses on our VIC members and non-members with responsibility for the organisation, coordination and delivery of stand-out professional development events and curriculum. The successful person will be responsible for raising the awareness and positive perception of the Institute and delivering business objectives, reinforcing the value of membership to our members.

Working with a pre-set revenue budget, the role specifically involves researching and planning Professional Development activities, subject matter relevant to members, sourcing quality presenters, negotiating speaker fees, setting seminar pricing, coordinating all promotional calendars, flyers and EDM's all within strict expense parameters. You will be providing administrative support and attendance at some meetings of Discussion Groups and providing cost effective PD and networking opportunities for members in various locations

This role also works closely with the Divisional General Manager and interstate Professional Development Coordinators to identify new and innovative approaches, new topics, quality presenters, continually monitoring competitor trends as well as determining best ways to work within a limited budget.
