About the position:

Gold Coast Leaders is looking to appoint a successful marketing/events and business administration professional to support the  Directors in achieving their business goals. 

The Strategic Project Officer, will assume responsibility for assisting in the management of ongoing relationships with Series participants, event coordination and supporting the administrative requirements of the business. They will also assist with the development of proposals, marketing collateral and implementation of digital marketing initiatives. A key element of the role will be assisting to project manage the organisations ongoing strategy, task allocation and ensuring that all membership requirements are being met.

Reporting to the Directors, this position will undertake a broad range of initiatives and activities to enhance relationships and achieve business growth through member acquisition. These may include; measurement of all recruitment-based activities, relationship management and leveraging off stakeholder relationships to build the Gold Coast Leaders brand.

About the person:

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary or diploma qualification in preferably Business, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications along with three-years relevant experience.  

Experience in business administration, marketing and event management is required, as is the ability to assist in Series member recruitment if needed – so any candidate with client facing experience will be looked upon favourably.

Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are essential along with excellent writing, editing, proof reading skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated competency in the use of CRM systems is desirable.

About the role:

The position of Strategic Project Officer will focus on two elements, assisting with the management of the business and aiding with the implementation of the marketing and events strategy.

Operational responsibilities will include assisting with development of Series collateral, aiding with project management tasks, meeting coordination, data entry/database management, daily administration, sales invoicing, and receivables.

Marketing duties will include website maintenance, assisting with digital media management (social media), collection of information from members to support communications activities and preparation of marketing collateral for client meetings.

Event management support will cover set-up, running and “bump-out” of events, preparation of attendee packs (name-tags, presentations and other relevant materials), collation of feedback. Assisting with the post-event requirements immediately is also required (this includes website posting, editing PowerPoint’s and collating surveys).

Salary details:

Flexible work environment, and details such as working hours can be tailored to mutual benefit. Remuneration is based the person’s relative level of experience and abilities. Strong MS Office skills are essential (particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint), along with excellent attention to detail and grasp of grammar and spelling.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
