About the role
We are currently seeking an Indigenous Affairs Manager to join Laing’ Rourke, and lead the development of indigenous employment and advancement opportunities across the engineering & construction industry in Australia.

Key responsibilities
As Indigenous Affairs Manager, you will develop, implement and manage a range of strategies, policies and programs to ensure Laing O'Rourke upholds it commitment to increasing Indigenous employment opportunities.
You will grow and maintain positive relationships with our people, including Laing O'Rourke projects, work winning effort and supply chain to drive Indigenous Participation projects and programs. Working closely with our procurement division, you will develop relationships across our supply chain to ensure we are meeting our social procurement targets.
You will have
You will bring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander culture, gained from working with communities across Australia. You will also offer experience in developing and rolling-out related strategies, policies and programs with large-enterprise organisations.
Ideally you will have experience in developing and maintaining strategies to source, attract and retain
Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander employees.
Prior experience and relationships with education providers, group-training organisations and other stakeholders to facilitate job pathways for Indigenous people would be highly desirable.
