About the Role

We’re have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join Thomson Reuters’ growing Professional business. In this role, you will lead a team of one direct report to design and execute the Product and Business Go-to-market (GTM) strategy for a legal documentation solution suite, Cleardocs targeted at Accounting firms.

You will work closely with internal teams including Sales, Customer success and technology to understand the market and needs of the customer in this highly visible role.

Established in 2002, Cleardocs provides Australian legal documents online. As an authorised ASIC software provider your company lodgements are fast and efficient.

With more than 190 current and compliant Company, SMSF, Family Trust, HR and Estate Planning legal documents to over 70,000 users, our easy to use question interface ensures the document creation process is simple, fast and cost effective.

Cleardocs has been working with the top 20 Australian law firm (Maddocks) since 2002 , ensuring all our documents are up to date with legislative and case law changes.

The Cleardocs service includes free, local support, a legal helpline and we're owned by Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, you will be responsible for the following:

Product and Business GTM

• Proactively explore opportunities to improve sales channels for the Cleardocs content portfolio with new documents and bundles
• Identify and execute on key strategic goals of the Cleardocs portfolio set out in your go to market which captures the value of the Cleardocs portfolio
• Work with the Commerical team to identify go to market channel partners which complement the Cleardocs business

Management of internal stakeholder groups

• Work with the Development team on delivering up to date Documents/channel technologies to grow the portfolio
• Monthly and Quarterly reporting of Product GTM to ANZ Business
• Keeping your focus on customers and their consumption patterns of Documents and Bundles

Management of customers

• Servicing existing customers to a high degree to ensure repeat business/subscription

Skills and experience

• PM experience in the Tax & Accounting and Legal sectors
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager in an agile development team with both online and desktop software experience
• Strong understanding of agile development practices and the role of the Product Manager, demonstrated by a proven track record of successful delivery
• Creative, innovative and excellent complex problem solver thinking outside the box to generate solutions to customer problems
• Have understanding of latest technology and software developments, trends and concepts within the accounting practice market segments
• Be degree qualified in Business, Commerce or related disciplines
• Excellent written and verbal communications with a high competency in collaboration
• A Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Law/Business/Finance
