About the role

We are searching for a Social Media & Search Marketing Specialist to join our team in Canberra, Australia. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for managing our social media presence and search marketing activities.

This person will have a demonstrable track record of managing a range of social media platforms and implementing search marketing campaigns, preferably with a leading technology company.

Skills and experience

• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist

• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

• Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO

• Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

• Previous experience providing digital marketing activities for SaaS, PaaS or IaaS companies and/or products would be advantageous.

• Implementing effective SEO strategies and monitoring and improving our organic search.

• Designing and managing SEM and online advertising.

• Experience with analytics software such as Google Analytics and/or Moz.

• Design experience with website, UI and/or UX design and using Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.

• Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• An understanding of distributed computing and Big Data concepts.

• Demonstrated ability to work hard on multiple activities and to achieve key outcomes under pressure.
