Michael's Group is a well-established family business in the health and retail sectors. Our company is comprised of our umbrella group, Michael’s Group, three pharmacies, Michael’s Health Care Chemists and our manufacturing and distribution arm, Michael's Products.
We are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Assistant to help drive our online and instore sales and increase our digital presence. You will be reporting directly to our Marketing Manager and receive full support and training as required. This is a perfect first position for a student or recent graduate looking to gain valuable workplace experience.
Your primary tasks will be
- Driving sales across two consumer ecommerce sites
- Formulation and implementation of digital marketing strategies for two ecommerce websites.
- Assist in the management of social media channels for both ecommerce websites.
- Support email marketing efforts: list management and eDM design
- Monthly reporting on key marketing metrics across two ecommerce sites.
- General maintenance and administration tasks relating to both ecommerce sites.
Requirements
- Studying or recently completed tertiary degree in marketing
- Understanding of digital marketing platforms: Google AdWords, Google Shopping
- Understanding and experience of email marketing: strategy and design. Familiarity with programs such as Klaviyo, Constant Contact, MailChimp or equivalent.
- Understanding of Google Analytics for reporting.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to achieve valuable outcomes while sticking to strict deadlines
Preferred but not essential
- Understanding and experience with WordPress and WooCommerce web platforms
- Experience or background in graphic design
- Experience or background in photography & videography
- Experience or background in web design and e-commerce
- Experience or background in Pharmacy, Health Care or Skin Care.
- Experience with social media channel management and marketing, including experience with Facebook Advertising.
