The role
We are currently seeking a Senior Advisor - Communication & Stakeholder Engagement to develop and deliver communication plans including activities, materials and tools to use in projects, primarily across NSW and ACT.
The holder of this position will be a role model of the SMEC values, ethics and code of conduct and all aspects of this position will be carried out according to these guiding principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering communications and engagement project plans and services for SMEC projects;
- Building community and stakeholder relationships;
- Supporting the wider business, in particular the environment, transport and water groups with consultation services;
- Assisting in the development of proposals, new business ventures and marketing activities.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you ideally will have gained your experience in an engineering/design consultancy or contractor and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Ideal applications will have:
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in communications and/or consultation with the most recent experience within infrastructure.
- Recognised degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience/ or knowledge in IAP2 Public Participation practice
- Experienced in managing day to day customer relation activities including contact databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability and experience to coordinate or participate in public events for both community members and technical stakeholders.
