My client is a leading consultancy who work with Australia’s Tier 1 banks providing them with advice and expertise on Digital Transformation. Due to a large increase in projects they are looking to hire a Data Scientist to work on-site with clients and also assist in building out their Data and Analytics practice.

You will have the following experience:

• Marketing/ Customer Analytics.
• Building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming 
• Integration of data from multiple data sources
• Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
• Common data science toolkits, such as R, Python, SAS
• Data visualisation tools
• Query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig 
• NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase 
• ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume
• Various messaging systems, such as Kafka
• Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O 
• Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
• Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks
