The Senior Event Coordinator exercises both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. Decision making is substantially dependent on judgement, skills and knowledge. A Senior Event Coordinator manages and organises their own work in the context of competing priorities, including contributing to business planning, changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies. 

Key duties/tasks:

 Duties may include some or all the following:

 

• Event coordination: provide compliance and logistics of corporate and leadership events attended by the Secretary and other Senior Executives within departmental premises and external venues, including but not limited to event day support
• Stakeholder relationships: develop and support internal and external stakeholder relationships to deliver event outputs
• Results: set priorities and accountable to ensure quality of outputs for work area and own achievements
• Research: perform research and analysis to inform decisions that involve complex or escalated issues, longer-term planning and liaison with other sections on policy, project or operational issues
• Written materials: draft written materials including reports, briefs and corporate documentation
• Reporting on business outcomes: monitor, manage and report on progress to assist local management to manage overall performance
