MLC School is looking for a creative, energetic Content Writer to help support and enhance the school’s profile online, in social media and in print.
You will be able to paint a picture with words and tell a story with an image. You will be curious and inventive. What’s more you can deliver the content because of your experience in website, online and social media management. You will have excellent written communications skills, a fine eye for detail, and have a willingness to roll your sleeves up to help out as part of our collaborative Marketing and Community Relations team. You will work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing and Community Relations to take ownership of multiple projects, often running at the same time.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A creative thinker, imaginative, highly resourceful and curious
- Experienced in marketing and/or promotions.
- Able to edit a website, deliver an e-newsletter, write for a year book and post to facebook daily.
Essential Criteria:
- A tertiary qualification in media, communications, PR, marketing or relevant discipline and at least two years relevant experience OR at least five years equivalent workplace experience in a similar role
- Excellent editorial and copy writing skills including expertise in investigation and news-gathering.
- Strong proof-reading skills, capacity to proof own work, knowledge of standard English grammar and proofreader’s marks.
- Proficient in website management and maintenance.
- Sound working knowledge of digital communication platforms.
- Sound working knowledge and experience in use of social media platforms.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, MSOffice.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
- Understanding and interest in photography and video capture.
