Our client is a Medical Research Institute leading the way in ground breaking technology to improve the health of Australians with previously terminal illnesses. They have been recognised globally as thought leaders and champions for research through their tireless work in this field. The organisation is on the cusp of significant growth having launched a new 4 year initiative aligned to the long term vision and strategy; as such they are seeking to bring in this leadership role to drive the Marketing and Digital Communications function.

You will lead the function including development and implementation of an integrated marketing and digital communications strategy that differentiates them and effectively communicates their cause, vision and impact in a compelling way to acquire new supporters, retain existing supporters and increase funds raised.

This impactful role will manage the marketing team, budget and activities across all channels leveraging the opportunity of new technologies to grow profile, awareness and credibility as a leading medical research institute nationally and internationally. You will positively contribute to the achievement of fundraising net income targets working closely with Fundraising and Customer Engagement teams.  You will prepare analysis and reporting of this activity to the Senior Executive team including recommendations for future activity to achieve the marketing and fundraising strategy goals with highest possible ROI.

You will manage relationships with external partners, supporters and suppliers to achieve objectives as well as pro-actively driving collaboration with the research team, fundraising team, technology and operational teams to ensure a cohesive approach to delivering the organisation strategic goals.

You are Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, i.e. Marketing, Communications or Business with significant experience of driving integrated campaigns successfully into the consumer market. You are a strategic thinker able to identify effective marketing opportunities and implement with appropriate KPI's to track progress. We are seeking a digital specialist with an established network of contacts within the marketing, media and the digital sector who is comfortable with new new media and able to leverage this. You are a natural people manager able to delegate effectively, provide opportunities for team development and create a collegiate, positive working environment.
